Barber Beast on the Bay online registration is closed.

In-person day-of registration opens at 10 a.m. from the event's registration pavilion at Waldameer Park in Erie.  All day-of registrants will be assigned to the 11:30 a.m. participation wave.  Day-of registrants are not guaranteed a participant t-shirt or medal. You can visit the event's Bag Drop pavilion after you complete the Beast for any left over t-shirts.

10 miles, 30 obstacles, 1 goal: BEAT THE BEAST! Whether you are an elite Obstacle Course Race addict or a new to the scene first-timer, the Barber Beast on the Bay offers something for every level of obstacle course competitor.  Tackle insane terrains – from sand to mud to lake to swamp!  Combining natural and man-made obstacles, the Barber Beast on the Bay obstacle course has one of the best locations available -- the beach!

While our venue at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA is scenic, the Barber Beast is definitely no walk in the park.  You will take on 10 miles of sand, water, and trails – it’s the nature of the Beast! Join the 1400+ crazy enough to run, jump, climb and crawl across more than 30 obstacles on the shores of Lake Erie Saturday, September 6, 2025.

What sets this obstacle course race even more apart from the rest? When you tackle obstacles during the Beast, you’ll also be helping children and adults with autism, intellectual disabilities and behavioral health challenges at the Barber National Institute who take on their own obstacles on a daily basis, as the event supports the non-profit and its more than 6,200 individuals.

• Timed Waves for 10-Mile Obstacle Course participants who want to know their time to beat next year! 8:45 a.m.. 9:00 a.m. or 9:15 a.m. waves ONLY
• Non-Timed Waves for 10-Mile Obstacle Course participants who want to have fun! 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
• Join a Team to conquer this tough course together for any of the waves!

Participants must be 16 years of age by 9/6/25 to register.

Please Note: Participants must be registered by 8/1/25, to be guaranteed a t-shirt. If a participant registers after this date, we cannot guarantee a shirt will be available. Please choose your size carefully; shirt sizes cannot be changed once selected.

We cannot offer refunds under any circumstances; participants can transfer their registration until 8/24/25. If a registrant cannot participate or transfer their registration, their fee is considered a charitable donation to the Barber Foundation.
