About Cheer Zones

Hundreds of participants are expected for the Barber Beast on the Bay 10-mile and Adapted Courses and we need your help to cheer them to the finish line! Be part of the excitement, promote your group and maybe win a cash prize by forming a Cheer Zone! Teams, cheerleaders, musical groups, service organizations...ANYONE can participate in the Cheer Zones!

What is the event day like?

The Barber Beast on the Bay takes place on Saturday, September 7, 2024 beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Presque Isle
Your group will be assigned a Cheer Zone area for the 10 Mile Course and a report time
Groups will likely cheer for 3-4 hours depending on their Cheer Zone course location
Give it your best for a chance to win cash prizes ranging from $500, $300 or $200 for your group

How do we win?

Get creative with your outfits and your cheers or chants to stand out from the other Cheer Zones.
Make your Cheer Zone memorable! The race participants vote for their favorite Cheer Zone in an online survey after the race.
Make sure your group's name is clearly visible on what you wear to help the participants identify you when they vote.
