First Niagara Adapted Course for Adults with Disabilities
Mark your calendar for Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 for the adapted Barber Beast on the Bay course that will be held at Waldameer Park. Registration will be available for the adapted course in early 2017.
The one-mile course held at Waldameer Park is primarily on paved road and features nine obstacles that involve pulling, pushing, carrying and navigating ramps. The fully accessable adapted obstacle course coincides with the 10 Mile Challenge, as the two courses meet up for a final obstacle and participants cross the finish line all together!
All participants are welcome to have an able bodied "course buddy" accompany them free of charge if needed and many Barber Beast on the Bay volunteers are on the course to provide assistance. All obstacles are optional and can be completed by participants who are ambulatory or using a wheel chair, walker, etc.
Advance registration for the adapted course ends on Friday, Sept. 1. After that date, late registration will be offered the morning of the event at Waldameer Park.
